The STTI - AKC Fall Membership
Meeting and Presentation was held Monday, October 24, 2011 at
Porter Adventist Hospital in the Grand Mesa Room with over 40
Chapter Members attending. Light snacks were served at 5:00pm,
followed by the member meeting at 5:30pm, in which Ruth O'brien
updated members on charitable activities for the Ronald McDonald
House and previewed the plans for fundraising to augment the
scholarship funds. At 6:00pm, Sara L. Jarrett, EdD, RN, Professor,
Executive Director for Post Licensure Programs at Regis University,
along with Ernestine Kotthoff-Burrell, PhD, APRN,
FAANP, Assistant Professor, Gerontoloical NP, and Option
Coordinator, University of Colorado, presented The Future of
Nursing and Education: Reflections on the IOM, Robert Wood Johnson,
and Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of
Teaching.
